"How could I not? Sure we weren't close, but I interacted with her more than other cats while she was here," the deputy smiled. "I honestly think the patrols are a bad idea, but if the entire camp is worrying their way out of their skin then it's necessary," the she-cat smiled, gently.

"That would be nice," the deputy nodded. "I'll send Griffonblaze with you for protective purposes, we'll need at least one of you back if you find out what it is. Griffonblaze!" she called to the gold-ginger tom over.
He padded over quickly, bowing his head. "What can I do for you?" the green eyed tom asked.
"You'll be on patrol with Darkblaze. Darkblaze, choose anyother cats you would like to go with you," Shreddedfox ordered with a flick of her tail and strode off to hop into a tree and follow the group.

"It's so unusual that someone can crack such a good joke at the time. C'mon, I think I know who we're looking for. But first we must get more cats. I know that Checopaw wants to come. Should we ask?" Darkblaze said as she flicked her tail towards the apprentice den.

Darkblaze purred as the two wet to get the apprentice. "Hey, Checopaw! Would you like to go look for your mentor? We need a strong cat to keep our backs." Darkblaze said comfortably. "Yes! Yes! Please!" Checopaw begged. "That's three. Who else should we get?

ShatterTalon shrugged. Then an idea came, she blurted out the first name that came to her mind. "BlazeHeart." After she said it, regret filled through her stomach. But then again, it could do him well, BlazeHeart WAS ShadowClaw's mate, and after her death, he seemed alot more....depressed.

BlazeHeart padded into camp with a thrush. He padded over to the freshkill pile and sat it down. He looked at the thrush, then picked it up and slammed it back down, swearing loudly. He finally stopped and tried not to cry. Why did he lose mates so often? Starshine,Hawkstar, ShadowClaw, why couldn't he hold onto them?
