Stardust stood beside him.
"I don't know what to do. I-I-I can't tell them about you they'd think I'd have gone mad, but it feels wrong to be with any other cat. I remember you fully, and I remembered how much I loved you and how much it hurt to leave."
"Treeadder you have to move on we're likely to never meet in real life again."
"This is as real as I need it to be! This is as real as if you were beside me!"Treeadder was choking.
"Treeadder we have to move on no matter how much it hurts," Stardust mewed turning her eyes down.
Treeadder practically heard his heart cracking. "Star-" he choked.
"It hurts me as much as it hurts you," She meowed tears streaming down her clear face.
He reached a paw for it but it caused her to blow away like sand. He fell and lay there crying his heart out. He wouldn't move not even if death came to claim his soul.

Mothheart gasped softly, she couldn't believe what she heard. So this was Treeadder's great love, a dead cat? She felt so broken hearted for him. She stood up and timidly stepped towards him. "T-T-Treeadder? Are... are you... alright?" Her voice shook.

Treeadder didn't move and let the tears keep pouring from his eyes. "Why?" he moaned. "I love her. I gave up my spirit for her. My life for hers. I'm stuck without her forever for saving her."

Mothheart looked down, feeling tears rise in her own eyes. Even thought she loved him, she wished he could be with the female he loved. She stepped closer and whispered,"I'm so so sorry Treeadder... I wish I could make things better... I'd give anything to make you happy. I'm so sorry." Her voice choked, she had never seen him THIS bad. It almost scared her.

He lay and shuddered in his sorrow. He started coughing and choking. He felt like he was drowning in his tears, and he was sure Stardust felt the same way.

Mothheart sat about a fox-tail away from him and lied down, watching him. She couldn't leave him, not now. Even if he couldn't talk, even if she was the last person he wanted to see. She had to make sure he would be ok. She felt that she should let him cry it out. She felt like dying, seeing him so hurt. It wasn't fair.

After a long time Treeadder lifted his head. "Why would you sit here and watch a cat drown in his sorrows?"

Mothheart frowned and stood and ran off quickly into the forest, before returning. She walked right up to him and bent down, and in her paw she held a butterfly, it's wings fluttering slightly. She rested it on his nose, and frowned a bit. "I'm sorry, Treeadder."

Treeadder smiled and more tears ran down his face. "Flutter, flutter," he mewed and the butterfly flew away, but circled around the duo before leaving. Treeadders eyes rested on Mothheart. "Thanks Mothpaw-heart, I really needed that," he stood up. "So you love me?"

Mothheart smiled a bit and whispered,"Well... Yes... I have for a while now..." She sighed, but she knew she had to say this next part,"But I'll leave you alone... If you're mad at me for loving you..." She watched the butterfly fly away.

Mothheart watched him leave, and fell down and began to cry. She knew she would never be the same. Something had happened to her, her heart frosted over. All she could think about was him, and how her life was over.
