Hawkstar leaped into the pit and watched her clan gather around her. Leechpaw and Whisperingpaw looked like they had ants in their pelt. They couldn't sit still. And Hawkstar was proud that her kin was at a gathering for the first time.

Darkblaze was waiting patiently for the gathering to start, she wanted to report the incident with her missing brother. She was worried sick about him. "C'mon, c'mon. Start already!" Darkblaze muttered under her breath.

PatchFang moved through the crowd and jumped down into the pit. "Hawkstar, Tigerclan is late. And what's worse, I've been finding more Deathclan sent around." Hawkstar sighed. "They are in TigerClan, but if they want to be late, fine."

Swiftstar lept down into the gully followed by Flamestreak. The pair sat beside Hawkstar. "What's up?" Flamestreak asked, only hearing the last bit. Swiftstar beside him nodded.
Treeadder traced his way along the rock walls, Solemnpaw was on his tail with nothing better to do, asking him the prying question's his friends would have.

"Now it doesn't matter that I snuck away from TigerClan to be here. The Gathering hasn't even started yet. SunClan can't make this happen. I want to go back to the 'Clan if it doesn't start." Darkblaze spat. "No one cares about my brother. I just want him back." Darkblaze began to walk away before someone stopped her....

Hawkstar looked over to see Tigerclan coming in. Why were they late? And where were some of their cats? "Finally. Let's start this thing." PatchFang hissed before leaping out of the pit.

ShatterTalon pushed through the crowd. "HawkHead is gone as well! She left on a self hunting party thing, and never came back!"
PatchFang started running over cats in their clan. Now that he thought of it, he hadn't seen StoneSpirit, Watson, Cloverfeather, or Wolfpatch in some time. "Hawkstar." He said to his leader. "I believe some of our cats are missing as well."
Leechpaw's fur stood on end. "I bet it was Twolegs!" He spatt. Everyone started talking at once. One of the older warrior padded over to him. "Don't go talking lies young one!" They snapped. "No really! Think about it. Twolegs always do terrible things, they always try to pet us, make us their slaves, imprison us in those crates!" As he talked he could swear PatchFang shivered.
Hawkstar couldn't believe her ears. Her own son was talking so boldly. PatchFang shivered next to her. "I remember those cages. RabbitWhisker and I got trapped in one once." Hawkstar nodded. "Yes, back when you were an apprentice and she was a kit. Why you took her out of camp, I'll never know."

"No!" Some cat hissed, "It was work of an evil rouge!I almost got trapped myself!". Speedflight was the one that hissed. "I think her name was Sammy. I think she has some help, too. We need to have some patrols sent out, pronto!" Speedflight announced.

PatchFang turned on the tom. "And who died and made you leader!? Last time I checked, your name was Speedflight, not Speedstar!" He hissed.
Hawkstar crawled out of the pit and up a nearby tree. "SILENCE!" She screamed. All eyes were on her. "I've made important choice before, like the LionClan and TigerClan thing, but now is not the time to fight. Twolegs or cats, we need to know what we're fighting. Not just run into this blind!" She looked around and sighed. "Listen. I know what happens when you run into it blind. When I became leader, we had no real medicine cat and no one to take Mudstar's place. On the day of his death I was suppost to become deputy. I still wonder if I'm right to be standing up here now. But what's past is past. I know TigerClan wants none of this, but if we do join together, at least until this is solved, we could save more cats from being harmed!"
AppleFrost stepped forward. "I speak not of just her mate, but I do agree. Bickering won't solve anything! It'll only kill us off faster! If anyone has a way we can solve this by fighting, I'd love to hear it!"

"Look who needs to learn how to care about others! My mate could be in danger and my daughter is already in trauma because of Dragonbird! I-I just want this to end.." Speedflight told PatchFang. "I should have never brought this up. Know what? Forget about Dragonbird and Hawkhead then! I am leaving. Good ridience!" Darkblaze spat. She walked away into the horizon.
