[Hawky]

Hawkstar woke to find that Thunderheart had patched up her wounds. She licked the rest of the blood from her claws and headed out. She sat finding that the first spot that was the high ledge was gone since Happypaw had fallen. But infront of her, it was like it repaired only infront of her den. It was the perfect ledge. She walked to ledge and looked around. She leaped down and landed on all fours. She padded out of the old Cloudclan camp and headed to Lionclan. Hawkstar padded into camp and looked at them. Today, kits would become apprentices. She leaped up to the highest tree she could find. It had a large and wide branch that they could sit on to call meetings. She found her balence and yowled out. "Cats of Lionclan! Today, kits from Cloudclan will be the first Lionclan apprentices." Hawkstar waited for all of them to gather before she went on.

Tigerkit, Fleetkit, and Jetkit looked up at Hawkstar with shining eyes.

[Hawky]

Hawkstar lifted her head. "Tigerkit, Fleetkit, Jetkit, Airkit, and Whispkit, step forward." She called down.

[Speckle]

Crescentmoon stood in the camp, watching with sparkling eyes. It was always one of her favorite times when new apprentices were made.

Tigerkit gestured for her littermates to come forward when they hesitated and sat with her head held high as Hawkstar began the ceremony. Fleetkit could barely stay put. Jetkit gave Airkit a hardly pat on the back, his amber eyes shining with pride, but the others could detect his fear-scent.

[Hawky]

Hawkstar looked them over. "Because there are so many of you, I won't do each one of you single." She then lifted her head to the sky. "Cats of Sunclan. Look down on these kits, and let them train under your power to become warriors." Hawkstar looked down at the kits. "Do each and everyone of you swear to protect your clan, listen to those in power, and follow the warrior code?" She asked them.

Tigerkit put her paw to her chest and vowed, "Yes, I do."

Her littermates did the same, but with a less excitement. Then they all turned to Airkit and Whispkit.

[Fiery]

Airkit beamed and said, "I do." Whispkit shifted a little, "I do..." She trailed off what if they made her a warrior's apprentice. Thunderheart looked at her and nodded. He jumped in the tree and whispered that Whispkit shall be his apprentice then leaped down and looked curiously to Whispkit. She nodded.

[Hawky]

Hawkstar nodded. "Then you all will be called, Airpaw, Whisp-paw, Tigerpaw, Jetpaw, and Fleetpaw!" She waited till the clan chanted their names.

[Fiery]

The "paws" eagerly awaited their mentors names to be called.

[Speckle]

Crescentmoon lifted her head and yowled louder than the rest. "AIRPAW! WHISPPAW! TIGERPAW! JETPAW! FLEETPAW!"

[Hawky]

Hawkstar let the chanting stop. "For their mentors, I have chosen. Airpaw, you will have Foxpounce. Tigerpaw, Goldenwing. Fleetpaw, Flashfur. Jetpaw, Sunflash. And Whisp-paw, you will be Thunderheart's apprentice. Mentors! Pass on your skills to you apprentices!" Hawkstar waited. "And, as I have been told, two apprentices are to be made warriors. Ironpaw and Littlepaw, step forward."

[Furystar]

Leafpaw bounded up to her new denamtes. "Congratulations!"

[Hawky]

Hawkstar looked them over. "Do both of you sware to protect your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

[Fiery]

Airpaw beamed, 'Thanks."
